I really like the way the Red Oak came out after 6 coats of Tung oil,the Paduk really comes out nice






















Just finished putting the grip on,...all final pictures to come soon.

   Rawhide isn't really stiff enough to trap the ends of the power lam from rising up as the bow bends.

I wish I knew that before I made the bow, .....guess I'll just wait for it to eventually fail.

Your Oakbow looks great! Let us know how it works with that rawhide backing set up you are working with.  I'd think rawhide would handle it fine, but I've never seen it that way before either...

Thanks, still pouring here,as soon as it lets off I'll take the complete spectrum of pictures,
also I'll shoot the bow like crazy to see if it will hold.

Yeah good to see you making some bows again Manny. I always love your work. I guess when you jump back in you do it with a vengance. Im not a big fan of the red oak but looks like you go that one looking great.

Very nice looking bow, the snake skin backing looks awesome aswell the riser and tip overlays, lovely contrast of colour. 8)

Yesterday the sun made a bit of an appearence so I took advantage and did some cleaning up on the Vine Maple and got the bows to soak up some heat,...they'll need a few good days of sun before I do any further bending.
