Enjoyed the film, it wasn't that much different than the current "reality" survival shows where things just pop up into a scene out of blue. The fire plow worked too easily, you could tell they were pulling themselves along by a rope under the water on their trip to shore, the canoe was too well made to be a survival creation, there were several other "enhancements" in the film as well.

It was definitely staged that's for sure.  The part that I thought stood out was the releasing of the cub. It did escape but they had planned on turning it loose. I don't think the whole bear incident would have made the final cut today.
