1st Completed Bow Beautiful Osage
« on: October 11, 2015, 02:51:16 pm »
Well after many sporadic hours off and on of working and asking many questions I finally completed my first bow.
Now I just need to wrap the handle and build up the shelf.
Shot in and feels good to shoot.
How do you guys like it?

Came out lighter than I wanted, 40# @ 26".   Was going for 50

Had a couple mistakes that forced me to remove more material than I wanted but that wont happen next time.

I'll try to get a full draw pic today.

It's a great feeling to have that first one done, isn't it?   Sooooo much to learn.  I posted up #4 today and am really enjoying myself.  Looking forward to your next one!

Nicely done!  A nice shooting 40 pounder is plenty for whitetail.  Josh

Looks pretty nice. I like the unique handle.

Hard to tell from a braced pic alone but it looks like the upper limb is a little flat compared to the lower. Maybe it is just the angle of view or maybe this reflects a funky unbraced profile. That is where unbraced profile and full draw pics help us help you.
