Bamboo backed Rosewood
« on: October 09, 2015, 09:16:16 pm »
I made this bow about 3 years ago as my hunting bow.  It's a Bamboo backed Rosewood RD with Rat Snake skins.  The bow is 63" long overall and the limbs are 1 1/8" wide tapering to 1/4" nocks, it's tillered to 28" where it pulls just under 55#.  I never chronoed the bow but it does shoot pretty fast, probably around 180 fps with 10 GPP arrows.  It turned out that I hardly had any time to go hunting that year so the bow saw little use  :(.  Here's some pics

That's a dandy of a bow.  Bet she's a smooth shooter too.  Very nice Marc.

Marc's role in life is to remind the rest of us what amateurs we really are.  Beautiful work, I bow down to your mastery.  Thank you for sharing.

Selling it? 😶
Slowly, i stalked her. Watching her every move. Silently moving in for the kill, only to find she was so perfectly tuned to nature i couldn't take the shot. My stomach was growling, yet i couldn't take the shot. My desire to see beauty overpowered my desire to eat.
