FirSt Self Bow Kill!

Got my first self bow kill!  Deer hunting, last 15 minutes of light. This Grouse just popped out at 10 yards and started strutting around.  I couldn't resist.  Its with an elm mollegabet I just finished up.

Musta been a "ruff" shot!  I, too, have heard they are mighty good table fare.  Congrats!

Yeah, it was delicious.  Not too much spread between 3 guys though. Haha.

Here's the meal -
Grouse Breast, Doe heart and Tenderloin from my Buddy's Doe he shot with a crossbow the day before.   Pretty sweet.

Yeah, i got him through the neck. Breast was in perfect condition.  Exactly how I planned it......  ;)
