We used to make forts with a few poles, some chicken wire and sawtooth palmetto fronds. They were water proof and blended in.

 I never really build blinds per-say. In 82 I built a light weight ghillie for turkeys. Have used it on gobblers and bucks ever since, 100's and 100's of times. Just stand a log or 2 up against a tree for break up.

 If you can set still and know when and how to move a good back ground cover all you need.

  I've had so many bucks looked past me in my ghillie. And lots died there's know way I can remember them all.

  Crooketarrow once told me. If a deer looks straight at you before he moves on either your camo did'nt work or your choise of set ups did'nt work or he would'nt have looked at you in the first place.

  He saw something out of place that made him look at you.
