Thats amazing and adorable! Thanks for sharing!  I laughed out loud when I read about her getting bored. Way to be a good dad and help her get the final product done. Something about the boredom, time, and pain that makes the exciting part that much better in every new or worthwhile endeavor.  Great life lessons.

Great story, cool bow
Always fun to work with the kids and see their big eyes when a bow is born.

That's a fantastic first bow and particularly so for someone so young.   The artwork is especially nice.  Lily, you are very talented!

THANKS for a very heart-warming post!

"Awesome" is right!

She had expressed interest in shooting but needed a lighter bow to shoot since she was diagnosed with Juvenile Dermatomyosistis when she was 6 (just like Landon from the Dec/Jan issue).

I am a TCM doctor and although I have never treated this disease it sound much like others that I have treated and respond well to TCM treatments. This link says others have had success treating it.

I would recommend you find a person that has studied herbs intensively along with acupuncture. This is important! I would expect the doctor to do both with your daughter. It is normal to have 3 treatments a week that then back off to 1 a month and then one a years depending on how the patients responds.

Health!

PS great bow!
