Refurbishing a quiver - need input
« on: May 18, 2015, 03:25:30 pm »
Picked up a canvas side/hip quiver at TN Classic.  Structurally it's in ok shape.  Aesthetically, not so much.
Cleaned it up some.  Stained the dowel that strap attaches to.  Cobbled together leather strap to replace the narrow ugly black nylon strap.  Have one side painted & working on other.

Need input re the canvas fabric sleeves that hold the dowel.  They are on right side in above pic.  Top to bottom .... short one, then very long one, and then short one.  Considering painting yellow or red.  Input needed .... paint 'em or not?  Yellow or red, or sumpin else?

Thanks!
... alone in distant woods or fields, in unpretending sproutlands or pastures tracked by rabbits, even in a bleak and, to most, cheerless day .... .  I suppose that this value, in my case, is equivalent to what others get by churchgoing & prayer.  Hank Thoreau, 1857
