I have made one bow from honey locust. It will make a bow, but I think there are lots better bow woods to use. That said, I think that it is some of the prettiest wood that I have worked with. It is a beautiful yellow color with a pinkish colored heart wood. I overbuilt mine some, and it still took more set than I liked. I didn't heat treat it or induce any reflex - I was still pretty new to bow building then. I may have to revisit honey locust and see if I can build a better bow from it.
