Another bendy molle, 56" tip to tip, 34#@28"
« on: April 07, 2015, 06:12:41 pm »
A rather pleasant lady wanted a you-finish bow different than the ones she'd found, usual suspects and whatnot, so I fashioned her a molle. Levers gave me some alignment issues when they dried to a twist but it was nothing a bit of dry heat couldn't fix. Gave the outer limbs just a touch of reflex, two inches, and it's keeping just about one. Lack of camera crew is making a full draw hard to photograph :-[ Two hundred some-odd arrows and she's fast and smooth as butter on a jet plane.

Might as well make them short, save some wood to keep warm.

Very nice.
Talking trees. What do trees have to talk about, hmm... except the consistency of squirrel droppings?

Nice work Huisme, simple and elegant.  You're getting that Molle business down!

Nice work Huisme!

Thanks guys ;D I don't think I'm going to get over the design any time soon, especially considering all I haven't done with it yet.

Forgot to mention the overlays are cocobolo, I'll be sending instructions on sealing everything to be sure she doesn't have gooey tru-oil sitting around for days ;) Levers are ten inches with roughly one inch fades, limbs are about one and three quarter inches across and tempered.
