My first Un-backed Osage Orange Bow
« on: March 27, 2015, 03:24:10 pm »
Here is my first un-backed osage orange bow I call Hunter.
It was 60 inches long to start but I re-tillered it down to 55 1/2 inches.
56# @ 24 inches.
16.85 ounces
1 5/8 at fades
1 1/4 wide handle that is 5/8 thick
I made my own B-55 16 strand string an boy does it stretch

She's looking pretty good although she looks stiff just above and below the handle.

I'm with Pat on that one, she's a wee bit stiff in that area.

Your hinged bottom limb just at the start of the reflexed tip. Unless that is character there before hand?

got to agree with with PatB, looks a bit stiff in the middle 12" or so of the bow and the outer limbs are working harder than they need to.
