my second bow - a osage static
« on: March 21, 2015, 10:40:48 am »
here is my second attempt on a osage static. The bow is 58½” ntn. Weight is 48#/28”. The stave had a twist of about 30°, which I heated out. Also had to correct string alignment of 2”. The statics are steamed in. Tips and arrowplate are buffalo. I know tiller isn't perfect, but the stick shoots very well so I leave it as it is.
mass is 452g.

Boy, You Gremans really know how to knock 'em out! Really nice bow for anyone. Fantastic for your first! Unstrung profile says it all!

Great looking bow all around. Plenty of character and what looks like a pretty good bend to me.

Awesome!
