Neices Bow
« on: March 17, 2015, 01:58:24 am »
Well it's not much just thought I would share it. My niece 28 years old  has BEED asking me to build her a Katness Everdeen bow. This all started after she first read the book hunger games. She talked me into reading all of them too. Well I gave in and made her a lil bow. 58" ntn pulls 38# gave it to her Saturday night poor girl cried. Came with 3 arrows of course. Forgot to get any pics she sent me one. Oh it's red oak. Pic was a joke. She didn't shoot the arrow, said she wasn't going to shoot the ones I made her. With the pic she sent me was this message. Uncle Scott, I love Kat ( name of bow ) and I have already learned 2 very important things. 1 I need more arm and back strength and 2 whitch is the most inportant I need an arm guard. Thank you very much and I love you.  It was worth making and I am glad she likes it.

Did the Native Americans think about all this that much or just do it?

Talking trees. What do trees have to talk about, hmm... except the consistency of squirrel droppings?

Great story Uncy Scott!

Wished ANYBOBY in my direct family had ANY interest in archery. They all want bows from me and none will ever get used. So....no bows!

You may adopt me.  Oh, wait.  Given our age difference it would be more appropriate for me to adopt you.  But that would never work out.  Sooooo . . . let's forget about it.   :o
