Static recurves, How to shape string grooves?

I've never done statics before, as my other recurves were all a gradual bend. What would you suggest as the angle and depth of string groove for this bow and another whitewood just like it? I'm also putting in shallow belly grooves, but need to see where they should start and end.

I like to put a groove into the overlay only, then string it up.  wherever the string lies i draw a pencil line.

What he said, just enough to hold the string on then u can mark it.

That recurve looks awfully thin. If I were you, I would build it up with several thin laminations.

Id agree, that does appear too thin. If it as such, they will pull out on you. One or two belly lams will do a lot of holding.

The string groves get cut in at 90 for me.

You don't need a Grumley persay, just a 6" long super thin slat glued on the bottom, centered up with the apex of the curve.

  When it comes to tillerig I file the grove across the front of the limb. As I tiller to short string I start to carve down the slot in the sides. TO GET THE RIGHT ANGLE The closer I get to finished tilering the more I carve the string groves.

  The leanth a personal thing. I like about 4 to 5 inchs. Shorter the bend more stress you put on the curves.
