This is a bow I just recently finished. I like those painted yew paddle bows from California and especially the art on those limbs, so I tried some myself and tried to make a Recuve Osage bow out of two belly splits from two billets I made a Recurve from earlier and I like it a lot, thanks to the small tips this little bow has virtually no hand shock and is very comfortable to shoot and I must say I love the draw of sinew backed Osage! These paints are artificially weathered and I tried to give the paint job an used look and a fitting leather handle.
Those buffers are made out of ferrit fur.The tips are made of buffalow horn and I gave those tips a little rim to run the string in. I made them as small as I dared them to be.
the buffer of fur work great for silencing( never thought that). Overall I'm happy and I hope you'll like it too.
