Ya, but can ya grill with some distractions?
« on: February 14, 2015, 11:07:32 am »
Decided to grill some crab legs for the missus, a little more work than I figured. We got 30-40 mph wind, 3-6" of snow coming, and a windchill of minus 35..........anybody got any tips on how to get the grill warmed up so the charcoal will light? ::) ::)

Thought ya all could use a chuckle

I feel your pain.  The last time I had to do that with charcoal, I got the coals started in an old metal bucket and then put them in the grill.

We usually steam them down here, also wearing shorts and Flip-Flops, shirts optional. :)

Sheesh, boys and grills!

Looks like you have the same weather we got today, had to lean into the wind to walk outside and could only be out there for a few short minutes before feeling frostbite coming on.
I ain't broke but I'm badly bent.

You are propped up on that grill like it's no big deal!  Damn brother.  I wish I could send you some of our temperature!  I worked in short sleeves for a while yesterday (not to rub it in) :)

As Slick Willy, would say, while getting his $200.00 haircut, on board Air Force One, "I feel your pain."  But to ease the sting of Eddie's shorts, and flip flops, he won't be wearing them tomorrow, and probably not today either.  Tomorrow, here in Fruitland Park, near Leesburg, it is supposed to get down to 27 or 28.  Right now the sun is shining, but very breezy, and around 50 something.  I didn't stay out long.  If it wasn't for the wind, it would be tolerable, but I am at my Sister n Law's house which is on Lake Griffin, and add that moisture, to the average general damp air, and it gets a little uncomfortable.  He is only about an hour south of me.  Not quite like you guys have it though. My Girlfriend's Sister lives in Fall River, Mass.  and they have had quite the time with the temps, and snow.  My suggestion, is to put the crab legs back in the freezer, or leave it out side, and go to a seafood restaurant!
