Pat is there a copy of the magazine that has the article in it to go with the set?  Justin

Here is a copy of the listing in the auction guide.

HL217 PRIMITIVE ARCHER PACKAGE
By Members of Primitive Archer Magazine

This amazing package was collectively crafted by a group of Primitive Archer Magazine’s website members from around the globe. The bow is made from guava wood from Hawaii with sturgeon skin backing, deer antler tip overlays and rattan handle wrap. The bow is 66” long with a 53 lb., 28” draw. The hardwood shoot arrows are made from sourwood, privet, dogwood and buffalo nut wood. Stone arrow heads from Texas flint, a leather quiver and sheath, a knife with deer leg bone handle, and a hand-woven bow sock complete the archery accessories as well as Primitive Archer Magazines. The way Community Bows Project works is someone crafts a stave and sends it to the next person who shapes the bow, then sends it to the third, etc. This set traveled through Manny Padroni from Pupukea, Hawaii; Shannon King from Rogersville, Missouri; Mark Baggett and Greg Bagwell from Clarksville, Tennessee; Lonnie Stapp from Liberty, Missouri, Pat Brennan from Brevard, North Carolina; Ron Johnson from Bruner, Missouri; Paul Wolfe from Springtown, Texas; Justin Snyder from Washington, Utah; Kenneth Gorman from Pleasantview, Colorado; Mark Baggett from Clarksville, Tennessee; Dane Danato from Greenfield, Massachusetts and all the way to Marius Fara from Gustavsburg, Germany!Members of Primitive Archer Magazine

Well folks, The Southern Community Bow set is now in the hands of RMEF. I got an e-mail today from Kristy Boswell with RMEF saying the complete set was there. I mailed 3 packages to Kristy last Tuesday last week. Thursday she e-mailed me to say that the box with Marius' quiver and knife sheath and Pappy's knife were there but she hadn't seen the other 2 packages. I got an e-mail from Kristy Monday saying she still didn't have them...I was sweatin' ???...and again yesterday. Well, today I got word that all three packages had arrived.  ;D ;D ;D   Now I can sleep again.
Kristy will let me know how the auction goes and what RMEF receives for the Southern Community Bow Set.
Thanks to everyone that contributed to this beautiful set and to all of the PA community for the moral support.  ;) 8)    Pat

  ;D I'M BACK  ;D

this morning i just tried logging in (as I do sporadically) just in case there is a loophole in the firewall....and guess what.  can you imagine how surprised i was when the login screen came up?

anyway, first i would like to apologize for my long absence.  as i told pat, i fried my router at home when i tried to make it vista-compatible (thanks mr. gates)  and at work i haven't been able to login for the longest time (firewall would block access) so i was caught between a rock and a hard place (no internet for several months).

but back to the topic, that set is fantastic.  thank y'all for the privilege and the honor to be part of it.  my apologies to pat for nearly giving him ulcers when he couldn't get hold of me.  i'll make up for it by drinking all the PBR you put in front of me  ;D  and the next quiver will be better and faster, i promise (if y'all let me participate the next time, that is).  also my apologies to hillbilly for not being able to get some high-res pictures before my internet access collapsed.

and finally, thanks to pat for making all this possible.  you're a good guy, i don't care what justin says  ;D

thanks dana.  i missed you guys (man, i sound like a bud light commercial)

PS.  it's good to be home.  now i've got a ton of threads to read.  when i opened "life is good" it started me on page 41 of 74.  feels like i was gone for years.
