I am a new member to this forum and would really like to attend the Tennessee Classic next month. I do have a few questions about it:

1) Wood needed....is 1"X2"X 80" about the right size of wood that I need to bring?
2) Best wood to bring......Osage,hickory, oak, etc?    Not sure where to find osage
3) Food....Does everyone just bring their own food supplies?
4) Other supplies.....do we need anything else such as bow string, leather for bow, etc.

Sorry about that Blaflair, maybe next year. Chris you we can't do with out you  hope you can find a ride  :) CJDore Not sure what you plan on building, there are plenty of staves there to buy or trade for also along with strains/material to make strings and leather, bring what you want or have or you can get it there, any wood that will make a bow is fine. We have concession running Friday morning through Sunday with breakfast and lunch. Before that you are on your own.  :) You should also know, not sure some new folks do that this is a Traditional archery shoot going on with bow building thrown in the mix, so making bows is not nearly all that is going on so you will want to bring a bow and some arrows also. :) About a month away.

Stringman, I've been waiting for about a month prior to see if Cracker was going to pipe up on the boil.  I did it last year so suppose, its time to get it started.  I'll begin a new thread on the boil.

How about another "fried night" too. That one we had a few years ago was pretty special too.

You know I will help unless we are rebuilding a bridge or some other disaster comes up , ;) might even have some meat to throw in, We will have to do that on Tuesday or Wed. if we plane on doing it. :-\ Looking pretty good around there now, we still have a lot of little things to do but maybe now that our open shoot is out of the way we can get to work on my list, the guys just love my list of to do's, they call it the infamous list  form H#%% it's only 2 1/2 pages this year so that should make them happy unless I think of something else and I am sure I will. :o ;) :) See some of y'all in a month and other just over a month. :) :)

Can't wait, the wife is taking a traveling job and she starts on April 1st. So I will have nothing to do but get ready for the classic. Well I guess work gets in the way a little. Patrick

We nailed down our departure date last night, gonna take advantage of the Twin Oaks Gangs hospitality and come into camp early. Should there sometime on wed. afternoon and staying into sun. Really looking forward to getting back there and seeing all the good P.A. folks again.
