Got my hands on a Jon W. bow
« on: January 01, 2015, 05:01:59 pm »
Had the opportunity to do a bow trade with yet another PA friend who's work I've admired for a long time.
Got this one a couple weeks ago from Jon, a cool little n/a inspired black locust bow with scalloped edges on opposing sides of the limbs. The overall look and feel of this bow is very authentic in a n/a styled way.
52" ntn and feels about 50# when drawn to 25". It's a bendy handle, shoots very comfortably and delivers an arrow with authority. I'm gonna have to try and fit it into my rotation of hunting bows, all of which this year have been made by other bowyer friends. I NEED MORE DAYS TO HUNT. ;D
Hope you all enjoy looking at this one .
And to Jon, thank you buddy, I love this bow and it fits me to a tee.
I ain't broke but I'm badly bent.

First I have seen with scalloping on opposite sides  8)  Really nice bend from Jon W. You look really cold Greg but I would be out shooting that one to man, nice bow!

Jon does a great job for such an ugly cuss. Really cool scallops. Tiller right on.

I knew that I was gonna see a fine bendy handled bow when I first saw this post!  Greg, you did good in this trade.  That is a fine looking bow.  Great work JonW.
