Sorry to hear about your wife Rick. I have been going through about the same. That is why mine was finished so quickly. Trying to keep my mind in other places. John, I still haven't sent it. Plowing snow and all nighters in the ER have made my brain a little mushy.

Thanks Jo  She had a total knee replacement,shes fine just lots of Physical therapy to do.

OK
I have my blade finished forged with dual hammered finger guards as well as a tapered tang.
I forged close to finished shape  so only a couple minutes on the belt sander was required  to get the profile where it is at now.
gonna finish at right around 7 3/4 o.a.l.
time to drill the pin holes  set the bevels and flatten the tang.
I hope jo5h approves.

Absolutely no rush jojo, I am excited to get the knife but I can wait as long as you need.

I didnt get anything done today, shot a doe this morning and thats keeps me busy for the day.

98% done.  A little polish, final sharpening. scabbards have been dyed,and are drying.  Dont know which one to send. Might just make another instead,Got to have a little suspense   ;)

You guys sure do talk alot ,, :o  Well its complete. Still not sure of which one to send,but here ya go.Fillet knife,old 12" sawblade,heat treated and gun blued.Will shave hair off a frog.

with rawhide sheath

Skinner,Forged out of an old file,I left some file and hammer marks in it,Sharp enough to skin a buffalo.

With rawhide scabbard

And then there is this,,Just because I wanted to trow it in the box   ;)

Got this made outta a road saw, Kevin is gonna help with with hardening it once he figures out the cycle from the scraps I'm sending him. What yall think? It's about 6-7" long
