The Korean War/Hunting bow

Any thoughts on this bow design? Apparently just constructed of wood and sinew yet having tip crossing reflex.
 Never hear much about it but there is a good example in the Grayson collection.

Do you think finding a wood that can handle the stresses might be a problem?  I'd be interested in seeing the results. Keep us posted.

Well, Pat, this will be no help to you whatsoever, but I saw a picture of one, unbraced--I think in TBB?  And since I am currently scared of the complexities of building a flat board bow, the concept frightens the bewhilikers out of me!😊

Or maybe what I saw was a horn-composite, but when the tips are touching each other, I am thinking that just stringing it, I might end up needing a proctologist to remove the handle.

Russ, with some of the Asiatic horn bows they use a bracing jig so your proctologist shouldn't be needed.  ;D

No,  I'm just finishing up family Christmas.
 The bow example I am going by is in the Grayson collection.
Just wanted to see what people thought.

For one of them, yes. The first one is well over 5 feet long.
