Were in the middle of the storm right now in the Buffalo area, I've only got about a foot where I live south of the city, but some places around here got 5 feet of snow in a little more than 24 hours.

It's about 60 degrees, windy and damp down here in SW Florida.  I just walked through the courtyard during lunch and the kids are all wrapped up in blankets.

It's a diffferent ballgame.  When you have a tan, this weather feels cold!

I doubt I would enjoy that stuff anymore!

When I was younger we had a 3-4' dump of heavy wet snow. Couple of days later it started to rain. About a half dozen houses collapsed.

Early heavy snow is never fun. We had an early storm a few years back that took down hundreds of trees. It is a city ordinance to have trees in your parkstrip. The trees hadn't dropped their leaves yet. We went out in crews of two for months to pick up trees. The city I work for is good about doing what is right, not only doing what is required.

Rich , I was thinking about you this morning as I was watching the weather. We had a massive 4'' in sunny West Ky. You guys can keep it all.

I just got finished shoveling another foot and a half of snow, it snowed all night and it's still coming down. I have'nt seen the news cast yet this morning but my friends about 15 miles north west of me had about 5-6 feet on the ground yesterday and they definately have more today.
I've lived here all of my life and we've never seen lake effect snow like this.
After it's done it's gonna melt, thier predicting 55 degrees next Monday!

Got about three inches of new snow yesterday here in Mid-Michigan, 4 degrees this morning - working up to the mid twenties. Tomorrow should be fun - snow turning to freezing rain, changing to all rain. Get ready to open the flood gates ! Bob

Live just a few blocks from Lake Michigan and we can get dumped on because of lake effect.  After 65 years of it you just get use to  the snow and it is not a big deal.  Visitors to our state seem to have trouble driving in the white stuff.

We make self bows on Thursday nights at a place that normally takes 20 minutes to drive to and it took me an hour each way last night.  It is what it is I guess.

Kinda makes you laugh at the phrase "global warming". :o I just saw this post Rich. Not sure how I missed it. I told my wife while watching the weather last night I needed to call and check on you. We have been having colder than normal temps, but nothing like you guys up north. I feel for you buddy!!
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
