New neck knife
« on: October 08, 2014, 11:55:27 pm »
Hickory Bill and I worked out a trade and I received this knife blade(blank). It has a 2 1/8" blade and is 4 3/4"OA. I added the cow horn scales with peened brass rods...

...and today I made a neck sheath with carp skin cover(thanks Pearlie) with a twisted thread lanyard...

Pat, that's just what a neck knife should be.
Sweet.

PS, I traded some soapstone pipes for a bunch of stuff and a neck knife was in the deal. I'll get a pic.

Nice blade.  That cow horn really looks good on that blade. Great job all the way around.

Nice Pat!  Like those cow horn scales.  Gonna have to try that.  Now, I just need to get my hands on some blanks.
