Got a box of killer random stuff from Cowboy in the mail today. Barely looked through it all before the flakes started flying. Not sure what the material is but I'm guessing it's from TX. Looks like if Pedernales and Georgetown had a baby.

Good job on turning the rock Cowboy sent. I have heard of punch notch, but never realized exactly what til your pic. Also the Horse  Creek you are showing, is that natural or did you heat treat it.  By the way if you have debige 1x2 or bigger I would pay for the box sent,  just to see how real stone knapps.

Thanks. I didn't heat the Horse Creek but I'm pretty sure Paul did before he sent it. Pretty stuff but quite 'soft' compared to most cherts.

Those look great bowmo! Can't wait to get home and whack some of that Hixton . Has been a very pleasing trading experience. That's some lower grade Gtown I picked up from, wait for it......Georgetown, ha.. Look forward to seeing what else you come with out of that box..
