seasoning a mulberry sapling

Hi guys.
I finaly found something that I can use as a bow stave!
I found a mulberry tree with what seems to be  several trunks coming out of its base.
One of them is about 2-3" in diameter and it`s quite stright. So I think I`ll cut it.
I just wanted to know, if I leave the bark on and seal the ends, how long will it take it to season (more or less)?
Should I de-bark and chase a ring, seal the back and then season? Will it speed things up?
(I tried serching for answers but I couldn`t get specific answers...)

What I do with 2" to 3" poles is saw them in half lengthwise and bind the back together with spacers between the two for air circulation. If you remove the bark seal the back well. I would give it at least a few months. The ones I have done I've given them a year or more.
