I've been on a bowmaking hiatus (and archery in general) for quite a while, occupied with kayak builds and other interests. Out of the blue today, I got the itch to start a new bow. I pulled this stave from the cobwebs and have a pretty good start after a few hours this afternoon. Just a little more work with a gooseneck scraper, and it will be ready to start tillering. It felt good to sing a sharp drawknife through osage again.

Speaking of kayaks, I was looking at some of your previous kayak posts recently and noticed a lot of the pictures are gone

Yeah, Sorry, I wipe the photo slate clean pretty regularly. This is from a few days ago on coastal Virginia, actually.
