Osage Shorty
« on: June 21, 2014, 12:43:40 pm »
I started this one at Marshall, MI and finished her up at home.  I reflexed it on P/D's form which really helped.  It holds around 3/4" of reflex.   It is a fun little bow to shoot.  It is the shortest bow I have made so far and I think it has become my favorite.  It has over 20 knots throughout the entire length.  I was originally going to make a bendy handle out of it but kept a short stiff section in the middle.  I used a wine cork to form the arrow shelf.  I am really happy with how this one shoots and it really spits an arrow out for a 42# bow.  I would definately take this deer hunting.

I had to google the word katniss. I typically don't hold my finger out there but, with trying to get a photo I had to hold full draw and didn't want the arrow to go anywhere.

I love all the character. Her flat profile and beautiful bend tells it all.  8)

Thanks for all the compliments. I just realized I didnt put a braced shot in there so here you go. Does anyone recognize what kind of tree it is hanging in?
