That is an amazing gift, Parnell.  Simply amazing.  The hours of work necessary to create each and every piece, plus the years of gathering the skills to pull it all off, and to pull it off with such a high level of workmanship....that says a lot about you and about how much you want this gift to convey. 

And still, it is only a token compared to the blank check the recipient gave to his country on the day he voluntarily enlisted.

Thanks for the compliments fellas.  My buddy should be arriving down here for the weekend so I'm excited to give it to him. 

Hey Del, I figure keeping my trunks on is the least I can do for ya'll.  The signs that say, "No shoes, no shirt, no service" are actually needed in these parts, this time of year.  I usually make a good effort to find a shirt before taking the photos but the wet season has arrived down here and we're pushing about 96 degrees and 100% humidity.  Bathing suits and flip flops are the standard uniform for the next four and a half months if you are outdoors. ;D ;D ;D
