What could give a father more peace than to know his daughter is proficient at dangerous weapons?

You said a mouthful, Jawge!

I can't tell you the pain I felt this Christmas when I got an old armguard and a set of fingertabs in the post from my father.  When I saw him in February I asked where he got them.  Turns out he was crazy about archery before I was born, hunted deer and shot some competition.  And when I traded an old fishing rod for a piece of crap solid fiberglass bow and one arrow with another kid, he beat my butt for not asking permission.  I shot that one single solitary arrow for years....and I shot it alone.

Wildman, when I saw this thread I knew you were not just a father, but you were a Daddy!  Shoot with her if it means not working overtime to afford to pay for a bigger tv, shoot with her if it means not going fishing with your buddies, shoot with her if it means missing opening morning of deer season.  But shoot with her.  And if she grows out of archery, find something else you can do, even if it is shopping at the mall.  You only get about 18 years, and that is nothing but an eyeblink.
