Wood choice advice
« on: April 16, 2014, 05:30:34 pm »
I'm nearly finished with an osage takedown that's lasted all winter and feel the need to get back to some straight white wood. I'm thinking about doing a Wampanoag Sudbury bow using exact dimensions (shooting for 48-50# draw) and have hackberry or white oak to choose from. I was wondering which might be the better wood for this project, advice and opinions welcomed.
Thanks, Eric

I think I'd go with the white oak also and I would toast the belly.
