a bow & 4 stone tipped arrows / raffle for Dell's ticket
« on: March 23, 2014, 06:52:45 pm »
Fellas,
thought I'd throw a bow and 4 hunting arrows (stone tipped) into the raffle hat for Dell. Just get ahold of JW as he'll be taking care of "business".

The bow is an Ottawa (Odawa) double scalloped, Osage, 46" and low 40's at 23". The bow is the most accurate recreation I've made to date. I'm also throwin in 4 hunting arrows. The arrows are red osier and viburnum, hafter with whitetail sinew, the heads are abo's from Dan Hamblin and are proven killers set with pitch and sinew wrapped.

Will try to get the full draw a little later this evening, in the meantime here are some close ups to look at.

Rich, I could never shoot one of your bows!  I order to shoot well, you can't have shaking knees...your bows always make me wobbly in the knee joints!  Wow, this has to be one of the most beautiful I have seen you turn out, and at the rate that you turn them out, that's saying something!

And that you would pitch this in to help get Del over to the Classic really makes me grin!  Thanks Rich!

Folks, here's your shot at a genuine halfeye classic!  $5 a ticket, $23 for 5.  Send me a pm stating it is for the bow, give your email address and how many tickets you want!

Thanks Pappy, aint got a dime or a pot to piss in, but wanted to help out. Where else ya gonna get a chance to "ruin" an English cat with a bunch of colonial red-necks >:D

If there is no interest in it Dell, I can send it to the classic as easily as to a drawing winner, eh?

Got 28 tickets sold on this bow already!  Drawing will be on March 31st, to allow dust to settle before the Classic arrives.

I have told several people that they can mail me a money order or personal check if they don't wanna fool with Paypal (something I can definitely understand).  So long as you let me know that you are sending the money, I will enter your name on the tickets right away so you get in on the drawings right up until midnite on the 31st.

This is really gonna happen!  Del, I recommend you wear loose fitting shoes when you get there because this is gonna blow your socks off!
