I think I should be ok for a couple of my shorter longbows (I have one that's only 70"), but I'll have to trawl through the airline small print.

Del, 3" or 4" PVC pipe with end caps makes a good straight bow travel case and you could put quite a few longbows in it.

Yup that's what I'm planning to do.
Can't wait to meet all you guys and see the stuff you do over there with wood I never see here and the different bow styles. Gotta get a try with one of those sinew backed native style short bows I just can't imagine how they draw up!

Great, I usually sleep upstairs, (or on the sofa, rug, pile of brushwood, desk, office floor, car, up a tree etc

Heck I've been dreaming about stuffing bows into drain pipes already

I think I'll need some of that medicine for jet lag too...
