paper birch lever
« on: March 02, 2014, 09:24:54 pm »
50/50 pyramid taper .I really had my doubts that this one would hold because the board was so light ,less than perfect grain and my shinto tore though this stuff like butter!put about 2 doz through here and held together like a champ!would have shot it more, but walking through waste height snow and minuis 30C temps put a damper on things!it took just under 1" of set after relaxing measured at the tips.gonna shoot it somemore before reducing the lever and handle.feels about 55#@27 and really flings one!might post some pic after finished shot in and not crystaled?thx's rob!

Very interesting.  I have a ton of birch growing around me that grows strait and tall.  Now I have the kick to go chop some.  I bet it would dry quickly too.

Nice job!  Nice bow!
Talking trees. What do trees have to talk about, hmm... except the consistency of squirrel droppings?
