A Little Coffee For The Deer Stand

I am happy how this one turned out.  When I first started I wasnt impressed with this wood but, the more I worked with it the more I liked it. I removed all the sapwood and chased a ring for the back.  The stave was fairly straight but did require a little straightening. It worked down easily to the desired weight.  I spent more time sanding and finishing this one than I have in the past and am happy how that turned out.  It seems to shoot good but I really havent shot it much.  When the weather gets better I will get a better idea how it performs.

Great looking bow there , doesn't look like you put much heat to it . I heat treated the belly on mine and it turned almost a light purple , it smells good when heat treating also .

I noticed the purple color also. It all came out during tiller and final sanding.

I got my tiller close before heating and did one more roud of heat when I was happy with the tiller.

That's a good looking bow.  That grain is awesome.
