Bing Cherry tree

I got permission to cut a decent size bing cherry tree, but can't find much
info on if it's a decent bow wood. I can only find info on black and wild cherry, but have also heard the more wild versions if fruit trees
are better than the sweeter fruit bearing ones.
Anyone?

It would be good enough to try.  Should make a pretty good bow.

Prunus avium is one of my favourite bow woods. Problem is usually finding a clean long enough section. Cherry tends to have radial branches so knots every foot or so. It likes to be clean, knot free with a clean back.

    the rule of thumb that i heard since i started this, is if it makes a fruit or a nut it should make a bow. that being said i haven't
 tried it yet.
