I got this stave from Pearl Drums and it proved to be a challenge. It was bent in a C shape when I started and it is full of knots and humps. It took several straightening sessions to get it where it is at now. It just wouldnt give up. It has real nice color and lots of character. It has a slight reflex. When I had originally started this I had intended to make a 50# bow but, it just didnt want to give up weight. I decided to take advantage of a good thing and it turned out 62# @ 27". It is a real animal. It shoots fast and I shoot it better than my other bows. I cant wait for it to warm up so I can get out and shoot it some more. I have around 100 arrows through it right now.
Thanks to everyone at Marty Jam for giving me advice on this. I am really happy with how it turned out.
