Pre-Historic Beads
« on: February 10, 2014, 10:08:48 am »
My wife just returned from five weeks of researching some ancient beads for her masters work. They were found in France- not sure the area. I'm going to get more details from her, and I'll post a few pictures here if she's ok with that.

Turns out I am a tease. She doesn't believe she can post her pictures publicly, but if you search for the Logan Museum of Antropology, and then search the site for "Abri Blanchard" You can see a few pictures of the beads there. I was really excited to show off her work, because I'm super proud of her but it will have to wait.

EDIT:: My wife would like me to mention that the beads weren't likely a necklace, certainly not all from the same piece. Likely they were sewn onto clothing. I don't know what her reasoning is for the clothing, but I'll update once she informs me.
