Christmas present for my Brother-inlaw
« on: December 21, 2013, 10:33:37 pm »
This was a fun project.  the handle is elm and i used a soldering iron to write his name ( first time trying that).  The blade is elk leg bone with pine pitch glue.  Still need to wrap it and put some finishing touches but i think it turned out pretty good.

Real primitive down to the glue!  I like it.  I need to get my hands one some bone for knives.  I reckon you can get it pretty sharp.
Florida to Kwajalein to Turkey and back in Florida again.  Good to be home but man was that an adventure!
