making a lammed bow from rivercane

So....
Is it practical to make a medium-weight recurve from laminated bamboo, with only 1/8th inch thick walls? I might use a poplar or maple centerstrip, and cable back it.
Give me some length/width ideas. I dunno if this has ever been done before.

It may be a bit of a jigsaw puzzle but it is possible.
If your cane is only 1/8th thick walls then by the time you sand it flat those pieces are going to be mighty narrow....but if you did a good job of reducing them all then they could be laid side by side on the belly.
Actually the more I think about it.....just use the maple to make a bow!!

If I had to make a rivercane bow it would be by the same method as in one of the Bowyers Bibles.....then it would take about 10 minutes!
