New points.
« on: December 12, 2013, 04:25:45 pm »
I did this one a few days after I got some chert from jackcrafty, and haven't had the same success yet lol. I keep breaking everything, but I think I got a good feel for it now.

This is the last one that broke.

Just keep at it.  You're doing really good!

Both are very nice. Can't tell you how many I start and then break a tip or something and have to chage the point style.

Nice work. Good save on the broken point. Might be how some designs came to be. Natives broke point, pulled a bunny out of the hat to not look like a putz to the other Natives..Viola!!...Clovis point....or maybe not

Those look good.  I have made quite a few like that first one.  I bet points like that have made countless dinners.

Man, those will still work. It doesn't have to be pretty to make meat. Keep at it and get those edges straight.
