Couldn't explain in it If I wanted to. Im as random in my shop as a guy can be. Not a good teacher as a result. You just never know where I will start. ADD is bad for a guy who likes to bend wood without it breaking.

The point of this thread to me was NOT to start at the fades, although in the begining of your bowyer asperations this seems logical...the fades is where you should end, not begin. I have seen several new bowyer ruin staves tillering too much in the fades. :) This also holds ture with "D" bows.
