just finished this 65# persimmon...
65 3/4" tip to tip , 1 3/4" widest, 1" width before the nocks,
back was dry heat reflexed and the tips steam bent reflexed. a certain amount of set
really enjoy working with persimmon and leaving the sap wood with all its knots and its lighter color. these tips naturally turned black from clamping the ends on the roughed out stave to prevent propellering . didn't weaken the wood in any way, maybe something to do with the sap under the wood clamps?
powerful shooter... i just need to work out with it to build some muscle strength!
harder to do as a 58 year old than you young whipper-snappers.
