Got a little carried away

I started roughing this one out a few months back and I got in a hurry and ended up with one limb really narrow.
It happened while I was working around the big knot in the fade. The drawknife dug in and the limb split out and this is what i was left with. Its been in the corner ever since. Do you guys think it will still work. Its about 68" ttt.



BTW the knot is right in the fade, it basically is the fade.

It should be OK at 1" most of its length. It will come out thicker but that isn't a problem for osage. Be sure you have a single back ring. It might be tricky around that knot.

That's what I wanted to hear. It's already roughly at one ring, I just need to clean it up. And I'm pretty happy with the knot. Should I narrow the other limb to match?

So it's osage, right?
It should be okay with low to medium draw weight. Leave it full length; the little bit of extra length will compensate for some of the lack in width. Maybe keep the draw weight slightly lowish, below 50 pounds or so. A higher draw weight might result in more set, and a less efficient bow. Not the end of the world, though.

Yes its Osage. That's kinda what I was thinking. I was trying for a target bow.

I have a bendy handle osage bow that is 1" wide and tapers to .5" almost and it is a speed demon. It is 60" ttt and 55# @ 26"

For those who wanted to see the whole stave, here ya go.
I know it looks like the upper limb is longer but its because Its leaning toward me.

Yes, I'd narrow the upper limb to come closer to the width of the other limb especially the outer 1/3 of that limb.

I'm surprised you guys want to keep the weight below 50#.  I still have alot to learn, especially with osage.  I'd narrow the limbs to the 1" and taper the last, say, 8", staying fairly parallel but not perfectly.
