Hope this pic. downloads OK.  Guys, This is the side view, left side belly. As you can see it has a slight string follow and stays right about at this point--never does return completely straight but figure as short as it is and drawing to 29" on the tillering tree I'm lucky to end up with this.    Glenn.

Yes, that's nice.  A bold project.  I just put a layer of sinew on a 53"er, but it only has to make it to 27" to suit me.

Very nice Glenn, 29" is a long draw.

OldBow, I know several of the guys wanted pics against plain background so here are three more of the same bow thanks to my wifes help-------bow unbraced,  bow braced,  bow full draw.  Hope these are satisfactory.  We don't have much wall space in our house.  Glenn R.   :)

Not to bad.  ;D The top limb looks a little weak right out of the fade to me. You sure are crankin that baby back there. Be carful you dont pull the string off it! :o

Very nice bow Glenn! You sure got all the potential out of that piece of wood. I really like your idea of the deer hoof strike plate.

looks pretty good.  i'd keep an eye on the area just above the top fade.

nice bow! just curious, but how far above center is your arrow shelf? looks like the lower limb has quite a bit less working area than the top.  may be the angle of the pic. you are getting all of the power out of that bow with that long draw. thank god for sinew. great job ;D

The handle is 4--1/2" long located center on the bow----with the arrow located on the deer hoof at the top of the leather grip it puts it 2-1/4" above center. I know the picture might be deceiving but limbs are the same length.    Glenn

I should mention too that I let the bow pick which limb would be top, with the grip in the center I began tillering until I was happy with the bend on the tillering tree, then checked tiller again to see which limb was greater---at least thats the instructions I've been following out of the TBB's , but then again I'm no expert at this. Put the snake skin on and drilled the hole for the feather once I had determined top.  :)

Never really checked this when building---took bow the other morning unbraced and centered the leather . rest on top of my index finger--bow balances perfect just like a scale.
