Hey Gun Doc, our base camp surrounded the seabee base camp at Phubai. I remember going up there to see a movie one night when we were on a stand down. Got mortared and had to go back down to our perimeter, never did see the end of the movie, and can't remember what it was. I hate unfinished business ;)!

Pretty sure my grandfather was in WW1, My father was in various branches of the military from 1938 until 1945, he ended up in Army Intelligence in the states during part of the war, must have done bad things to bad people during this time because he still has PTSD at age 95, he won't talk about it.

I joined the Army in 67, my son was headed jail as a juvenile delinquent if he stayed on the same path he was traveling. I strongly encouraged him to enter the military after high school, I wouldn't take NO for an answer. He spent 4 years in the Air Force, grew up, straighten up, graduated 2nd in his class at Auburn as a Computer software engineer after he got out. He has since gone on to be very successful after starting his own internet company.

The military has been a family tradition for Krewson men that has now come to an end, all the granddaughters are girls and definitely won't be joining the military any time soon.
