Thank you Eric!

I have been teaching about veterans, the military and Veterans Day this week in kindergarten. Wanted to see who on here served.

Eric, the war was winding down somewhat when I volunteered for Vietnam and was giving the option of going to Germany or Korea the day of deployment. Man, I wished I'd known that OPTIONS were a good thing back then ;)..........Art

The strange thing Art was I was a helicopter crew chief when they sent me to Germany. I worked in field maintenance in Germany only crewed a Huey for one flight to Frankfort during the 18 months I was there I. When I left processing at Ft Knox, with my 201 file in hand, I looked down at the in box and saw my orders for Nam sitting there. The orders didn't follow me to Germany.
