So I have a new job, and have completed my dream bows.  I also finished my daughters bow but in a mind numbing moment of stupidity I asked to shoot it after a particularly good shot of hers and it exploded :'(.  Rebuilding it now with osage and bamboo.  Also some of my knapping.

Most recently finished is a BBO trilam that was taken from dead wood in the woods.  It had been there so long the bark was off.  the stained ends were like that and full of worm holes which I fixed.  it also had to get the Torges patch which is working beautifully after doing it a 2nd time and I took it hunting yesterday.   Mine.. all mine.  I dont have much more of that wood left and that was the most "iffy" piece.

My BBO R/D.  similar to above but RD.  Horn tips and YEW strip in riser as above.  arrow pass is inlay of elk femur.  60+lbs at 28".  I had gluing issue that prevented a clean curvature.  It looks a little funny now but earlier it was looking fine and ballanced.  May need to do a bit more scraping to the bottom limb but I thin that odd shape is the product of the flat spot my glue up caused.  Love her.

my hunting arrows.  walnut footed linden:

my little girls arrows.  Yew footed linden:

My first attempt at a duoflex.  There is a splice in the belly wood right at the middle.  Later I stated using "v" splices but this was a finger splice cut on the angle.  the gen 2 was more of a recurve with deeper flip in the tips.  both were hard shooters but someone talked me out of the gen 2 ($) before I could get pics of it.

Nice looking bows!
Talking trees. What do trees have to talk about, hmm... except the consistency of squirrel droppings?

This is a recurve that is my spin on type konrad Voegelle makes.  It works and is neat and all but I like mine that is deflexed a bit more.  I'm going to let this one go with tow actual osage staves.

Arrows were made from roadside logs that I milled up.  0% lumber there.  The r/d osage bow was on of the 3 rivers osage billets.

they sell them in pairs but you can get 2 bows out of the 2 pieces.

Wow, you've been busy.  Gotta get some posted into the backed BOM, bet you'd have some really good odds at winning.
