My first bow ever !!

Hi I have made a few items out of wood in the past, cameras, a guitar and the usual box and frames, I always wanted to make a bow from scratch to that end I did some research and found a few videos on youtube

So I am running with it I purchase some maple and some poplar I started the process and hope it works as it should !

Scrap the poplar, get some decent bow wood! You'll be fighting a losing battle if you try and make your first bow from poplar! The maple will be good though.

Well even if it has been proven that poplar can make a bow it is not a wood i would chose.
Maple of the hardwood type is better or why not hickory..
But i understand you have already started so good luck and dont be put off if it breaks.

I still havent found all the pieces of a cherrybow i blew up in my kitchen last week....so im makin too
