I made this as a practice and training bow as I have a couple of guys wanting Warbows.
Tillering is quite different to a normal bow... no chance of floor tillering, as if it flexes at all it's prob' already under weight
Stats:- 80.5" ttt probably a whisker under 100# at 32"
No live full draw pic ... yet, but there's one on my blog of it on the tiller at 32"
http://bowyersdiary.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/elm-warbow-full-draw-on-tiller.htmlFunny thing is I can't draw it very far without an arrow, but once I nock a bit fat arrow and have my foam target to shoot at, I'm getting maybe 29-30" of draw and when it hits home it rocks the target back, sticking about 3" through the back.
This time next week I'll have it back to my full draw.
The Elm sapwood / heartwood gives it a bit of a 'poormans Yew' look. It's not really finished and polished up yet, just had a quick wipe with Danish oil.
Nuff chat, here's some pics (lower limb at the bottom in the pics...)
