draw weight at 28" still to be determined. I checked on a bathroom scale at one point and it read just a hair over 50lbs. but I have done a lil work since then and im guessing around 45# at 28". maybe a lil more.

Could we have a full draw pic.?  Looking at the brace pic, it appears to be bending to much in the fades, outer third nada..

Yes it is. the stave had back set so I took advantage of it.

I messed up on the top limb. but a lil extra bend on top doesn't hurt my feelings, along with me 3 under shooting style causes the bottom limb to bend a more.

Hickory is a really tough wood tension wise, and you backed it too so I don't think it'll bust that ways. However, I'd keep an eye out for chryssals about mid limb there. I'd say its a near guarantee (I just had a hickory bow with less stress than that the cryssaled on me) unless you get the ends of the limbs bending more.

Otherwise I like it, especially the paint on the back.

Cool paintjob on that one but i agree with Christian Soldier that you need to keep a close eye on your top limb.
You have a forth of the limb doing all the work,that is as close to a hinge you could be without actually having one.

Still if it shoots good shoot the crap out of it and make a new one then.

Excellent decorations on the bow.

Here are some things to keep in mind for the next one.

All of the bending is taking place mid limb ...right at that paint. The whole limb needs to bend starting at the fades and then gradually increasing as you got out to the nocks. To fix the tiller get the near handle wood moving (below the paint). Then get the mid limb o  bending (above the  paint).

What helps is to look at some pictures of drawn bows. Check out the section on this site... the Bow of the Month Club.
